10 March 2007. The Chiswell Walled Garden
The new coping for the old North wall will be constructed from
one row of salvaged welsh slates with a lead ridge. This coping has been selected
because the wall itself is only one ashlar deep ( as opposed to the other three
random stone walls which are comprised of two thickesses with infill). Welsh slates
also harmonise with the surrounding houses in this Conservation Area.
